On Thursday September 14 we had tropical day at Luther Home. The staff dressed in bright colors and the recreation area was decorated tropically. Today's recreation activities included a flamingo ring toss, music instruments and visits from some very friendly animals! Residents were treated with upside down pineapple cupcakes and tropical punch. Yum!
The kitchen created an amazing lunch that consisted of a Hawaiian burger, Hawaiian coleslaw and key lime pie for desert. Parrots were supposed to visit Luther Home however there was a last minute cancellation. Our awesome recreation team found a last minute replacement of a horned owl, a bunny and a tropical stick bug. It was a great success and all our residents had a great time.
